Hi all,

So I got my two Aero sale jackets in the mail and had the pleasure of trying them on. Both are CXL FQHH. Indian ranger is tumbled black and Daytona is just black. They're both real beauties.

Measurements are pretty much the same.

Size 38
Pit to pit - IR 22, D 21.25
Sleeve- IR 25.5, D 25
Back-IR 24, D 24.5
Shoulder--IR 18, D 18.25

Basic impressions are that they are both killer jackets that do different things. Fit wise, both are good, though IR has less effective gussets and sleeves are more narrow. Also IR feels a bit more pliable, perhaps that's because of the tumbled black. IR fits less puffy in the gut too. But I like the extra half inch on the Daytona and also the full action gussets.

All photos are IR then Daytona to give easy comparison. Not the best photos in the world, but the best I'll get tonight. I'll get my wife to take better ones all the way around tomorrow.

Both are absolutely freaking perfect, man. They fit you better than they would've ever fit me. I was right about the IR having more functional shoulder gussets. I know they're not as effective as the full action back of Daytona, but I can see they're bigger than the standard ones. Keep them.

I’d keep the Daytona, the fit is better from the pics. Congrats! (Ps sell/return the other and buy some quality jeans with a mid rise at least :p)

I disagree with everyone. These look terrible and I'd hate to see you suffer further. Send them to me immediately so I can help ease your burden. Least I can do. PM me for an address.
:)

Thanks all, Ill post some more pictures this afternoon. But I have to say that I'm leaning toward the Daytona. The length is better and it also fits more comfortably in the shoulders. I also might prefer not having the military style shoulder flaps on top.

I could keep both, but honestly, at this stage in the game for me, I feel like it's probably better to really wear the heck out of one black MC jacket as opposed to trying to balance two. And if I got a second, I'd probably like to do a real custom job.

So here are some better photos. My feeling after looking at these is that the Daytona is the clear winner. Longer and also generally fits my form better, and also allows for a lot more movement in the arms and shoulders. But I'd still like to hear any other opinions. All pictures with a t-shirt and light sweater.

I think the Daytona looks great! For me personally that's about 1-1.5" short of my preference for body length ( I don't like my belt fighting with a jackets belt), but I wouldn't say it looks too short. Sleeve length is good as is the fit everywhere else. The IR is entirely too short in the body imho...unless you plan on fighting some bulls in Spain. You will hear counter arguments I'm sure but you will also hear your wife and friends tell you the jacket is too short...they are right. Keep the Daytona if you are happy with it and send the IR back for someone under 5'10" with long arms.

Yes, another inch or so would be good on the length. But I still like it and the price is hard to beat for an (old) new jacket.

Agreed. It'll be almost impossible to replicate that hide. The truly heavy steer is not a common offering. If you'll wear it I would absolutely stick with the Daytona.
