Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding the sizing of my Ironheart N1 Deck Jacket.
I usually wear XL in Ironheart shirts and Western shirts. I’m 1.80 m tall (5’11”) and currently weigh around 84 kg (185 lbs). The jacket I have is size XL.
Under the jacket, I usually wear a undershirt, a T-shirt, and my Ironheart Kersey (14 Odds Western Shirt). I’m wondering if maybe a size L would fit better – the XL fits fine, but I’m not sure how much room I want for layering and movement.

What do you think – would you stick with XL for my build or go down to L?

Thanks in advance for your input!
Nice looking jacket, you have dogs? Reminds me of my Peacoat, total magnet for dog hairs haha

Looks good on you bud. I'm similar height and weight but I wear Large in IH UHFs. I was also looking at the Dehen N1 and thinking of getting a large but now I'm conflicted seeing your fit. What's your chest measurement if you don't mind me asking?

I think it looks great, better than mine fits. I have the same jacket in 2XL, I've a 44" chest, and at the start of the winter I was thinking it was really a little too large but now I'm wearing it over a heavy jumper and the temperature has dropped it feels better and I'm liking the extra sleeve length, which is the only thing that bugs me about mine and looks fine on yours.

I actually sold two other N1 jackets I had because the fit on them was too trim, they maybe looked better but for active movement they were just too snug and got too warm. I think a little space to air to move helps if you are wearing these jackets on the move.

I do find the IH N1 is the least warm N1 I've had so room to layer is a good thing I think.

Just got this early model (dark lining) Oakbrook. It may be the most comfortable article of clothing I ever wear in my life. Only downsides being a minor stain and the right handwarmer having a clean tear (that was not disclosed) that can probably be stitched and repaired. That being said, is it too big? Recently lost around 60 lbs., so I'm still trying to figure out my new size/fit.

Looks too big in the pics but sorta of the proportion the young folks go for. I mean its obviously not trimmed and tailored.

Thoughts on this Cal? The shoulder and length measurements are spot on, but the seller’s chest measurements were off and front panels are wider than usual on these (maybe made for someone with a bit of a gut) so it seems to sit a bit barrel shaped on me?

A bit of space in the back and waist. Cal is thick, so it’s pretty hard to nail a fitted thin-jacket look.

The photos in the two recent Fit Check requests are not that helpful because they are either poorly lit, too distant, too close, had cluttered backgrounds, etc. and it makes it difficult for others to give any worthwhile advice.

As said previously if wanting comments about the fit of a jacket it would help if these were as clear as possible, and preferably against a plain backdrop.
