I think this G1 fits me well. There is no room to layer, but I wasn't planning to layer under this jacket other than what you see here. I want a second opinion from you guys. It’s a 1950 vintage Monarch jacket for reference.

I think that's good. I watched Top *** with my kids and thought to myself, maybe I should get something like that. LOL

Body looks great. Maybe a bit short in the sleeves. If you wear a watch the cuff will be in the wrong place all the time. See post #89. It would be a lot better if the sleeve had a bit of room between the knit and the base of the sleeve. The way it is now, you will be constantly tugging the sleeve down every time you move your arms.

Hate to spam but I have long had misgivings about this L.L.Bean Trapper Jacket. Thoughts?

I would like the sleeves to be a bit longer, but what you have will work. Monarch was a respected maker of the G-1. I have several G-1s. like them better than the A-2. I think two of my G-1s are Navy issue. The other one or two are civilian copies.

I grew up around where they made jackets before I went off to college and post-grad. So there is sentimental value in Monarch as well for me, even if I wasn't around back when they existed.

I now own 2 cross zip aviator jackets. I can only keep 1 as my collection is spiraling out of control. Which one do you think fits better? Which would you keep?

Rainbow country:

Schott:

The rainbow country has the much nicer leather but the schott is cheaper (so would get more cash back if I sell the RC)

Personally it’s mostly the collar on both, putting that aside I like the leather on the rc but I think the schott has a slightly better fit on you, but overall I think you could find one that both fits and looks better than either of those.
