What do people think is the best of the dark brown goat hides they offfer? Is it seal brown premium goat? I can't be ****d getting samples.

****** it. I just ordered a version of this Sears - minus the belt in medium weight premium goat with a dark undertone. Cotton lining - quilted is mostly pointless down here. Always wanted one of these but never liked the belt.

For me it’s the semi veg tanned heavy goat (1.2 mm). But I don’t know if something has changed since January.

Seb, what is your length? Did you go 27” or 29”. Mine has a taper at the end of the cuff which is a great design- it clears your thumb but covers the out side of the wrist.

The zipper stops just below the beltbuckle, so there is the ability to sit down too. Mine isn’t as boxy as some, I can get you pics and measurements if you’d like (for a 38). Mine was fully belted, with the channel only in the back.

Mike, I went with 29 inches as I am six two. I saw on ebay an original size 44 once and it was close to 30 inches at back. Can't wait to see yours, Mike.

I didn't specify the angled sleave cuff. I wondered if it would bother me. I did ask for ton's collar as it has so much flair. So I've gone with a similar jacket rather than goign for a copy. It has the elements I've wanted.

Sent the final recap to Shawn, it is going to be the same red russet @ton312 has on his latest jacket. Decided to go with Beige thread which should provide some contrast I think. In any case I don't think Beige could look bad with this Russet, what do you guys think?

The lining is red cotton drill, the zipper antique brass size 10 YKK.

The process with Shawn is addicting. There is adrenaline, fear and satisfaction. It’s a drug. I have sold off all my “high end” jackets to push it further. I would not have envisioned this outcome at the onset.

Compared to all the other makers, its almost instant gratification. The reported wait time has been nearly comparable to buying a jacket on eBay from a foreign seller and waiting for customs & shipping. But this is a NEW and Custom Jacket coming your way!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! Of course, being a custom design, you may have some back and forth with Shawn before you get everything locked in. The anticipation is part of the journey!!
