I recently bought a set CDs of the Jimmy Durante Radio Show. It is an interesting show in that they seem to have had only one outline and just filled the cast spots with different people each week. Really a formula show. I have already heard Mr. Durante do the same bit three times on different shows. Yet, from what I have read, this was a fairly popular show. I guess listener expectations were different in the War years.
