Have a good day,
Very early 60s Stetson. 2 5/16 brim.
Sewed this silk/cotton wide binding on last night. Works good, but the cotton/rayon is better.
Dang... looks great Randall!
Rainy day. Silver Label Light-Lee today. Very soft felt, felted edge.
Great job Randall.
LOL, I was about to write the same thing....
Great hat and wonderful family photos Joe !
Very nice, and love that box !!
Wearing my first Nutria Quality today thanks to Justin @J Williams for tipping me off to it. Incredible hat, don’t think it was ever worn. Not a sign of an old crease anywhere in the open crown. Made it hard for me to even bash it, LOL. Still working on the shape. More in the New Hats thread later.
Not what we might consider the stylish panama for the man about town, this modern Mayser panama is a real workhorse in the garden and around the house.
92f, sunny, still and 50% humidity.
Gotta go. I have a few weeks of post to catch up with.
Update: winds kicking up to a mighty 4mph. Now it's like a gentle convection oven.
Thanks, Steve. I'm trying to figure out if the weight has some sort of a relation with any of the quality designations. Nothing conclusive so far (hardly a surprise).
Thanks, Jim. Certainly is a very light one.
Thanks, Daniele. That's what I find fascinating about them; the amount of skill to pounce it as thin as possible without going through the felt.
Thank you, Joe!
Gorgeous blue colour, Max. Would have like a bit more flourish on the bow.
Great to see you, Steve. Looking good!
Thanks, Michael. Some of them are so light you hardly notice wearing them. Recommended! Still like the panama.
