I knew a Samoan transplant to Niue Island that used a root from a certain plant to paralyze fish caught in low tide pools. We were afraid to eat his fish, not knowing what the poison was and if it would cause us grief and maladies. The guy in question wasn't really all there, so we had our doubts about his "fishing" technique.

Such attention to detail, I'm impressed. All I do is take the hat out of it's box, put it on my head, check my reflection and that's me, done.
