What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Resistol made some excellent fedoras. I wish the wider brim models were easier to find.

Wonder what PETA has to say about all that kitten fur used to make hats. ;)
This one manages to hang in there at fairly wide for me despite only being 2 1/4 or 2 3/8 brim I think. It is a real nice Cavanagh edge. But it's the fairly tall and minty crown on this one that's stands up and says look at me. Innards aside

Hückel. I like my more compact Homburgs sans pinches.

Excellent, Steve. We need to show more homburgs in this thread.
Hey all!

This wonderfully soft and pliable old Willoughby is the choice today.

Have a great day!
Very nice, John. A good tall crown on that one.

Vintage blue whippet for work tonight.

Anton Peschel Dinkelsbühl "Diplomat" "Reiner Haarhut" "Tornado", possibly late 1950s and a recent arrival.

Well, I'm glad that at least someone decided to wear grey; the green was starting to hurt my eyes. :)Wonderful homburg, Steve.

I've decided on the jacket, but if I don't decide on the hat soon, I'll never get to my local Irish pub before the last pint of Murphy's is pulled :)

All that green; it's beginning to look like a conspiracy!

Mighty and magnificent! Gorgeous hat, Charlie.

An early spring day always make me reach for an early Stratoliner. This one, without an imprint or embroidered patch inside the crown, might be a first edition.

Store likely related to the much loved Seattle store Bernie Utz, which closed its doors several years back. But I'm not sure.
Fabulous hat, Alan.

Classic and classy, Joe. Love it.

My attempt at being creative was foiled by the sun setting behind a hill before giving me the light I wanted. Oh well, better anyway, I think. View attachment 411243 View attachment 411244 View attachment 411245 View attachment 411246

Steve, I do hope that you got to the pub in time, had you given me a knock on the way, I wouldn't have been able to join you, lent and alcohol don't mix, but I could have helped with your attire conundrum.

This is not to say that the other fine lids are in any way inferior, perish the thought, I have something that hat would love, and so would St. Patrick.

Here you go, just the job for St. Patrick. How was the Guinness?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
To all my Scots & Irish ancestors, your sacrifices kept several future generations of us from going hungry & made our lives easier. I have more than I would have ever dreamed of having.

Don't drink too much green beer, and
Have a great day!
Well that was actually Wednesday night’s shift. Today I’m sporting a Knox Tom ‘n’ Jerry.

What a fine tribute to Saint Patrick.

Most people have heard of the tradition of kissing The Blarney Stone, but do you know exactley where, in Blarney Castle, the stone is?

I suggest you might want to take your hat off.

Alcohol? I gave up donuts and I'm already all twitchy.
