What a magnificent collection, now I know it's Sunday. Which one to choose? The Tirard GrandRaid:

But only because the colour is not far removed from this one.

Grey striped blazer 001.JPG
It is of course bespoke, like many of my hats and indeed clothes and shoes.
The colour here does look darker but that's because it's out of the sunlight.

Here you can see how close to the hue of Stefan's magnificent
hat my own is.
Curiously enough, Stefan mentioned that red, as in burgundy,
is not a hat colour. Tina thought that my hat and blazer would
team up well with the burgundy baggies that she made me.
Maybe, and I might just get a black cherry coloured fedora, there
again, I'm not convinced.

After the Tirard from Stefan earlier today, my Dobbs Homburg from Brent makes its debut on the thread. A very dark navy felt with purple ribbon and brim binding. I’ve been itching to wear this one out & about.

Thank you, Robert. Most kind. Your outfit is impeccable as always. Brent just posted a burgundy coloured hat today here: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/thr...s-gripes-items-of-interest.27695/post-2955732
Like you, I'm still not convinced.

That homburg is a real head turner. I know you will enjoy your nights out on the town in that fine Dobbs.

Thanks for that link Stefan, and apologies to Brent for missing it. Seeing that burgundy hat it's only the colour that would stop me from bidding. The shape I love, and that brim is just fantastic. If I were to go for any sort of red hue I might be inclined towards black cherry. black cherry fedora.jpg
Cheryl at CW Hats, in Dorchester https://cwhatsandaccessories.co.uk/ said that she can dye a white hat to that black cherry colour, but I don't know. The jury is still out.

Hufvud offers FEPSA beaver and beaver blend custom hats in any size and any dimensions in a color he calls oxblood:

This is on my short list for a future custom, albeit with larger proportions.
