It rains on Verona, intermittently, but it is a rain expected and well accepted.
Too much drought after the September 18 flood.
In the splendor of the flower garden a Borsalino in the early afternoon

Borsalino Qualità Superiore color "Folco" size 6 1/2 or 60 cm. 7 1/2 US

Matching ribbon with a pleated bow and a three-stitched finish on the brim

The felt is very soft and has a velvety touch

The hat comes from my purchases in the remainders of the "M. Hutter" hats shop of Merano

You can shed that great overcoat when it gets warm. Sure is a beaut!

Out for some supplies now that the wife is home. I've been living on handfuls of Pringles and McDonalds while she was at her conference. Here is a hat I got from Ant while I was AWOL. Borsalino Featherweight with the most amazing felt EVER!!! A little snug, like most of my Borsalinos but this one is really special. Early to mid 1950s.

That is very special indeed. My black Susquehana came back with it's new hatband today. I was impressed but after wearing it for a while, the sunny weather was making me feel quite warm in my newly repaired lid. My collection of straws keeps growing, but when I really want to keep the sun off, Esther's wide brim takes some beating.

Thanks Steve. Staying warm is proving to be more difficult that it should be at this time of year.

Thanks Red. I'm a huge fan of the fabric this coat is made from.

Today...no memos for hats so i’ll throw out a lightweight that can run with the big boys in that division. With a little love this one might do some spankin.
Make way VagabondBantamVita-StratBorsa fellows!

Be well. Bowen
Love that color ribbon on the grey felt. Really nice.

That topcoat is amazing, Michael! Just outstanding!!
Makes me think of that holy grail 50’s tweed suit you found a year or two back?! Delightfully dazzling patterns!!

Thanks Charlie. They are certainly something not run across every day. Both are woven with white and black yarns, the suit in plain weave and the coat in a herringbone pattern. The coarseness and low twist of the yarns gives a great effect.

Thanks,
Michael
