I recently ordered a custom hat from Hufvud in Sweden. Mikael was a pleasure to deal with and the hat was exactly what I was expecting. The felt has a great feel and the colour and quality of finish are exactly what Mikael had explained to me. It's always a risk ordering a custom hat from somewhere as far away from Australia as Sweden - but this was a risk worth taking.

Nice hat and nice workmanship. Congrats. I may just have to get on the train in Elsinore and pay Hufvud Hats a visit in Lund. Luckily, I'm only a train ride away.

Today, Friday is the time for a Borsalino from the 70s

There are no indications on the quality because the logo on the lining is quite rare to see
The color is "Folco" and the year of manufacture 1976
Felt is a marvellous, soft and velvety with a short fur finish
The color is a dense choccolate and the lustre finish is called melusine
On the sweatband there are six X which are the "touches" of the manufacturer's marketing
Have a nice Friday. Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino "Debrosan"
Next week more hats, but not Borsalino ;)

Un bel capello, Daniele. Il colore e proprio incredibile.

Very nice, Daniele. The color is very rich, and I love that liner.

Another unseasonably frosty day in SA Ohio. Today, a Barclay which I rebuilt from scratch about a year ago. No idea of it's age, but it is one of the nicest felts I own. Thin, lightweight, takes a crease with ease. A slightly lower crown than is my preference, but it's still a joy to wear. Plus, a color that you don't often see. Kind of a greenish-brownish-bronze thing it has going on.

Somewhere south of crazy
Whippet today. It's hard to tell but it is a pastel minty color. Happy Friday to everyone.

Wearing my new run of the mill OR Royal Deluxe today, (Caribou color.)

I picked it up on Black Friday, (along with one in Sage Green.) It serves as a counterpart to my front-pinched Heritage grade Campdraft in Moonstone.

I really like it, and it was a great deal on Black Friday. I'm surprised how much the Caribou resembles the Moonstone in color. Cheers,
Troy

Nice OR. I plan on picking up one of those "stock" Stratoliners from the Hatco outlet soon to add to my daily wear collection. I'm picking up a new-to-me OR later today.
