Modern (Japanese) Knox raffia for shopping today. I like the shape on this one. It’s a comfortable hat and the raffia is cool and airy. The brim initially had a bit of a snap to it, but by the end of its first summer, it was already gone. Now, at the beginning of its third summer the brim is getting to be both floppy and a bit wonky.
Overall, a bit disappointing.

Etsuko went for a Borsalino. This one is labeled 天然草 - natural fibre. It also has another label that says 50% canapa. I gather that canapa is hemp. I wonder what the other 50% is.

Yesterday evening I gallivanted about first wearing a Dalton with "Mistery Felt. " This bright white felt is supple and easy creased/uncreased. The bound brim (2 7/8") appears larger and emphasizes the swoopy blocking. Fun hat to wear.

I completed some yard chores and was back inside and thought I would pick up a Knox"Comfit." The superb leather sweat treatment makes this hat totally comfy and light on the head when wearing. The felt has a dull gray white felt. As with Knox of this date and lineage the felt is glorious.

The two hats are more alike than different in the feel of the felt in the hand. They are different, but each superb. I have put them into shared pics below.

Thanks sir. Love your hats this past week. Your pics show you appearing comfortable in the many styles of hats you don. Cheers to you. I tp my brim to you and the others who can so easily switch between different hat styles. and yet appear so "natural."
Yesterday I wore an Adam homburg. I admit that I do not wear homburgs with the ease of my fedoras.

I will take note from your and others contributions and work on wearing more hat styles.
Best, Eric -

Thank you kindly, Eric. I do enjoy ringing the changes where hats are concerned :)

Wonderful looking Adam Homburg. Great shape and proportions. Love the bow treatment, too.

That one has been a while. Great to see it out and about, Steve. It certainly deserves it.

I say "oooh, wow"!

Pardon the serial killer stare in the first pic.
Have a great day!
Looks good, John. The hat can take the rain.
The recently acquired Mossant for Saturday's jaunts.

Got to love that tall crown. Very nice, Steve.

Beautiful hat, Brent. Great proportions.

Etsuko takes this round (again:)), Gary. What can you do? My advice is that you need more hats to compete:D

Ramenzoni homburg last night. Attending an orchestra concert at the theatre.

Perfection (yet again), Fabio.

Here's my recently obtained Borsalino Classico in Navy.

This hat blew off my head yesterday and landed in a puddle. After it dried, it was like it never got wet. Still in perfect condition.
That's a relief. Fine looking hat.

Looking very fine there, Reggie.

Magnificent! Superb hats both.

Well, as long as the orcs have been beaten back, I can dig back into some hats I haven't worn in a while.

This Dalton was given the moniker "Dalt-o-liner" by an old member, @JavaDave. View attachment 424196 View attachment 424193 View attachment 424194 View attachment 424195 View attachment 424197

And of course, Happy Mothers Day!

Best keep the Daltons safe from the orcs, Jim. Mother doesn't seem pleased with her present!

The Tirard is fantastic. The muted ribbon is a favorite. The Laubin Corneille also looks great; I love those long hair finishes. I look forward to the Stefan hat parade every week and you never disappoint.
