Autumnal Thoughts........

With the climate getting crazier and crazier of late, I'm wondering if we'll get an Autumn here in Sydney this year. Last year I think it lasted about a fortnight. It literally went from 86 degree days to 55 degree days within two weeks. Autumn used to be a time of mild weather that gradually got colder over the space of 10-12 weeks, so that by the end of May it was down to 35 degrees at night and it was overcoat time. It was a great time to swap the Aloha shirts and short-sleeve gab shirts for wool suits and fur felt fedoras. I'm betting we'll go straight to the overcoats this year and skip the mild weather just like last year. :(

The Ice Age Cometh!:p
We haven’t had a summer here in ten years so I know what you mean. We get stuck in spring and never get the warm weather we used to get thirty years ago. It stinks.

This summer, when we have 98-100 degrees with 85% humidity...I'll turn my fan West to help you out. :D

JP, if the news clips I've seen on the evening bulletins here about the northern hemisphere winter are anything to go by, the Ic Age indeed cometh!

Yes. Worldwide this January is the fourth warmest since record-keeping began in 1880, with only 2002, 2003, and 2007 warmer. I fact all of the ten warmest Januaries on record hahave occurred since 1997. January 2014 was the 38th consecutive January and the 347th consecutive month with worldwide temperatures above the average recorded between 1880 and 2001.

At least the thought is chilling.

And it's just not the overall warming of the globe by 1.53 degrees Farenheit from 1880 to 2012 according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, but the wild extremes of weather and the intensity of natural disasters.

...The latest trend (among several friends of mine) is Sriracha hot sauce on potato chips...
Sriracha is great on chicken fried rice! There's something about it that really brings out the flavors of the other ingredients.

Please be sure to aim it accurately; we don't need the extra summer heat down here, thankyouverymuch.

I have no idea where the warming is. It certainly ain't here or in Europe. They have been having 100 year record cold winters lately.
