Outstanding hat! Since you asked, I think a black leather band would look sharp. Similar to hatophile's Stetson 15. Your hat kind of reminds me of my Drill Sgt. hat.
You were a drill sergeant? My uncle Don was. Tough guy. He was the last of my Mom's siblings to die, which seems miraculous, given his life story.

I am sure your uncle was rock steady. I wore this hat for 6 years of my 20.

Thanks Stefan. It has a few bug chews, but it did clean up pretty nicely.

Dang, I like that hat. Very unique look there.

That is a really beautiful velour on that one, Steve. A great shape to it, too. Great hat.

Thanks, Michael. That look is what drew me to it in the first place. It doesn't disappoint.

Penney's Marathon today. This hat is determined to keep its own crease (a half hearted attempt to cross the center crease). Fine with me.

My Game Bird does that. I crease it (because it moves so easily, even when I don't want it to), put it on my head, and the middle of the center dent does its own thing. Then I push it back into place and be on my way. :)

Yesterday it rained profusely all day. It was time for the water to arrive on the Italian north-east

This morning the rain was less intense and so I decided to walk to my office

Barbisio in pale blue, probably made about thirty years ago from the Cappellificio Cervo

The felt level is good and the beautiful color is typical of Barbisio

On the bow is the inscription Barbisio which is not my taste, but then probably copying Borsalino, even in tacky, was a must.

It is one of my favorite hats to wear on rainy days due to its lightness and wearability.
Thanks for your appreciation. Good Friday!

Dropping by fast with my Vintage Silhouettes oxblood/copper topper. I’m aways amazed by the effects of the light on this felt! Have the best day ever!!

When we get to see New England in The Fall, I'm going to relieve you of that fine lid. My Henley blazer goes well with a contrasting straw in summer, but your titfer, (cockney rhyming slang, titfer= tit for tat, hat,) would set my blazer off a treat.
