A Borsalino branded with the marks of the wayward cousin Lazzaro but made by the Antica Casa after the merger of the two companies - late 1950s to early 1960s perhaps. A hat that came to me from Daniele.

It would be nice if we could see through the transclucent vinyl for a good view of the beautiful old Fu Lazzaro marking.

Delayed response cause i was answering the door.
Be sure and knock twice, pause then knock twice more.
That way i know it’s for the hat.
Mess that up and it could get ugly.
I really hope we can find you one of these Mr. Cranston.

Twice, pause and twice more: I'll try to remember that. I hope nobody beat me to it when you answered the door!

Very nice hat, Alan. And cool that they even revived the old label format for their recreation of the brand.

I did stop by Meyers. It was nice to visit and check out all the hats. I was a bit disappointed at the limited selection of higher quality hats (Royal Deluxe's, Premier Strats, and Excellent's) but I understand their need to cater to the tourist trade to generate enough sales volume to open the doors another day.

Looks like fun! Stop by Meyer the Hatter while you're in town!

That red burned an image in my screen!!

Ha ha, yes, that's a bright one. I got a new green hat today, so I had to pull the jacket out again and see if it still fits.

The jacket is a poplin number for the 50s or more likely 60s. It will be happier when I drop another 5 or 10 lbs. The hat is a woolie alpine from Germany.

Strictly tourist fare I imagine, but I couldn't resist the 3" of green brim for $2.

Two hat day.
Panizza Zeffiro first

Dobbs Hanover Square (brim down this time)

That is a tough pair to beat. I would probably be wearing one of those about every day of the week. Top drawer.
