Great hat, Fabio. Classic style.

Very nice, perry. Black hats matter and we don't see all that many black Stetsons.

Thanks, Tim. More goodies to come for sure.

Works for me. Don't drop the standards, Alan.

Thanks, Michael. Some woolfelts deserve their place in the limelight.

Very nice, Tim, and very kind of Randy (but he's that kind of a guy).

It may have lost its spot to the Idorsca, but still firmly in the top ten, Michael. Great outfit as well.
Thanks Stefan. It's a comfortable wear, for sure.

Day three of French week. Don't want to end up with leftovers (not a French thing to do), so a two hat day.
Tirard homburg (or 'diplomatique') in "bleu de nuit" (night blue).

And Super Fléchet Marquis (from overwelt to raw edge to its current bound brim)

That Tirard is so nice. Lovely 'burg.

Duck your head is what I have been trained to do. I need to duck my hat! My morning jaunt found me out in in a Knox Vagabond. Lovely unlined hat that takes a crease with barely any nudging. My hat was re-creased during my jaunt thru the woods.

Post lunch escapade was done wearing my Stetson Stratoliner (cadet blue).

Home and cooling off with a spot of tea. A Monsavais Cap was comfy as I have been watching the birds at the feeders.

Be safe, be strong and see you on the streets soon, Eric -
That blue is definitely an example of the Hattus maximus species, Eric. Super.

Glorious pairing. Thanks for sharing.

Love your glorious black OR!

Your hat is sty'n and certainly up to the task. Back to you-be safe.

I appreciate the sculptural leaves and hues of a Japanese Maple. In my neighborhood it would have to be in a protected southern exposure with great drainage. Not going to happen for me. I will appreciate yours and others. Happy Earth Day.

Lovely Earth Day hues.

Congrats on having the ability to telecommute. Be safe in your Knox.

I am gaining a lot more appreciation for the French skills and contribution to hats via your posts. I look forward to seeing the "French Connection." Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Eric. It all worked out for a nice bicycle ride this afternoon.

looks like the Dobbs Gay Prince without the stitching on the edges
Thanks Joe. I think at one point in time I was considering such a modification. Now I'm pretty happy with it as is.

Thanks all,
Michael

The Mallory Ten
Cravenette Processed Tan felt
3 1/4 crown as bashed in telescope pork pie style
2 inch grosgrain ribbon
2 3/4 Brim with approx 3/8 grosgrain ribbon
1 3/4 brown sweatband

This hat is one of two hats I have that belonged to a man who was a Police Chief in Poland during WWII. He was a holocaust survivor and hero who helped 100s escape occupied Poland. I truly love when I am able to get the story to go with the hats I wear.

I believe is a Fedora bashed with a telescope pork pie like crown

J. Hückel´s Söhne were famous for Velour Soft Felt Hats but their Stiff Felt Hats were also very popular. This week I will feature J. Hückel´s Söhne Stiff Felt Hats.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Plume", 135 grams, possibly late 1920s. The felt is very dense with a
great smooth finish. Unique Box bow for a Stiff Felt. Fantastic liner and sweatband. Also this Stiff Felt is in super condition.

I chose my Art Fawcett VS Cuenca today for the Corona Crawl down the hill and along the coastal path to my local beach. They won't let anyone hang out on the sand, but you can still swim and surf. With a light breeze, medium swell, with no rip currents, or cross currents I swam out past the breakers to where only a few surfers were hanging out and floated over the waves. The waters wash over me and cleanse my soul in these times of trouble.

Another classic, Steve. I'm going to copy that bow one day...and my offer still stands if you need a remote storage location for some of those beauties :)
