Fantastic blue colour on that one Daniele. Could it be an Antonin France? A. Meer was definitely a seller of quality hats.

Today the anti Covid rules are tightened, so there will be a little more masking

For my walk to my office I chose a French hat from the 1930s

Thibet size 59 in blue color. Felt is a blend of wool and fur. It is very firm and even foldable without steam

Without lining, it has only a small sticker from the headwear of A. Meer from Strasbourg. The dimensions are impressive and very good for a suit with jacket and coat.

Thanks for the likes of the last week!
Have a nice day

I'm a sucker for a back bow Steve, but that Tonak rings all the bells for me: Nice tall crown, wide ribbon, great shape, cool colour, perfect pinches, and all with a back bow. It's an all round beauty.

Tonak "Standard" Back Bow possibly early to mid 1950s from my May 2016 NOS Czech find. Really fantastic felt on this one. Also a very wide ribbon + tall Crown with Back Bow.

Thanks Joe. Your parade of new hats is excellent

Thanks Steve, it is a "Thibet" another French hat maker, active during the first half of last century, then the company became "Everest" for the last twenty years of activity. I think they stopped in the Seventies. A. Meer was a sort of "magic field" because they had a very huge variety of hats from twenty until ninety from the best French hats producers. I regret not to buy everything they have. I have scheduled a trip to Strasbourg to see all the hats, but it never happened

Steve this Tonak is an excellent hat in proportions and the color of the felt and ribbon are really beautiful even if I do not like so much the back bow, but this is nothing compare to the rest ;)

I certainly appreciate and enjoy the two Homburgs from A.Meer I bought from you, Daniele. Here's hoping you get to Strasbourg again before long.
