One man’s stingy is another man’s wide brim :)
Just using a bit of fun sarcasm on the brim width of the Marathon.
Actually consider 2 3/8” brims to ride the edge of what’s considered a wide brim fedora, and for the record, I like 2 3/8 brims on some hats...but not a 1/16th less! :)
Ya know, I’ve been a home builder all my life and never seen an instance where a 1/16th of an inch makes more of difference than on fedora brims!

Nevertheless, what you said is too true, Joe.

As they say, everything is relative.

I've got you covered:) It's sitting on the shelf at my hatter's place at the moment for a refurb.
Very interested, but a little concerned. True story: I had a dream the other night that you were being investigated by the CIA. In the dream, you were the head of a large hat trafficking ring. The CIA came to my house to interview me about my involvement after I purchased that homburg from you a while back. Several loungers were apparently involved. Bizarrely, the homeless guy that I see frequently around these parts was also involved...I think he was keeping an eye on me on your behalf!

It’s amazing but it’s true!! I think I remember once reading a female member’s amusement over a bunch of grown men arguing over 1/8 inch of brim size.

That is just brilliant, Gary. I think you should start writing the screenplay while your dream's still fresh in your mind. I can see "The Dutch Connection", with its array of misfit hat junkies, being just as popular as the Oceans 11 franchise :)

I can not do it - no more coffee today. I still taste and smell the spoiled half and half. Yuck. I have switched to a Surley Delicious IPA beer for my morning beverage. I am grilling some sausage to add to pasta carbonara for breakfast. This should be a good pairing. Breakfast food? Out by the grill in a vintage powder blue Stetson Whippet. The felt color is very unique and I thought I might share some comparison shots of the Whippet and a felt color match in a Stetson Bantam.

For those who do not approve of beer pics for breakfast here is another one.

Enjoy your breakfasts everyone.

Best, Eric -
Excellent choice in hats, as well as beer.

Kicking off StingeMas Stingy Week hoping for a stingy performance for my Miami Dolphins defense against the number one offense and defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. Hehe. Lots of luck :)

Black Cavanagh with 1 7/8 brim sporting a Cavanagh edge. I stingily covered up the 1 7/8 black grosgrain ribbon with my home made Dolphins colors ribbon held on with a couple magnets. This one I found with my own initials in it an also gifted me a not to stingy Dobbs Guild edge along it it

And as I type this Patrick Mahomes is picked off by Byron Jones... so your telling me there’s a chance!

Who else wants to join @Redfokker and I in the spreading the Stingy Cheer?

Happy StingeMas!
