Hi, this is my new Schott 530, size M. What do you think of the fit?
I'm 5'9' height and weight 175 lb.

I'm thinking of going up a size, a L, what do you think? It feels a little tight in the shoulders, and when I drive and put my arms out in front of me, it feels tight.
I'm 5'9, 175 lb, and the 530 on the picture is a medium.

The hem is way too big now. And yes it is a bad cut for you. Time to look into a custom Vanson.

I know it’s not always easy taking ‘selfie’ type photos, however if inviting comments about the fit of a jacket it would help if these were as clear as possible, and preferably against a plain backdrop.

A number of recent ‘fit check’ requests had accompanying photos which were either poorly lit, too distant, had cluttered backgrounds, etc. and it makes it difficult for others to give any worthwhile advice.

The fit is good, although it's a little tight at the shoulders, but not excessively so, just a little when I raise my arms forward. I also think a size L would fit me better in terms of shoulders, but a size L would be too loose at the chest and waist.

Your pictures don't help much. Take new ones where only the jacket is in view. Have nothing directly behind you, only a plain white wall. We do not need to see anything past your knees or above your neck in the frame. It looks like it is stretched tight at the waist/ belly button, like a straight jacket and loose at the hem. Also tight across the upper back. If you can't comfortably reach forward to do every day things like driving or reaching for the ketchup bottle on a table without playing tug of war with it then go for something different. That could be a different size, but more likely a different jacket would be much better.

I think it looks good! But the real test is if you feel comfortable to reach for it. If not then it might be worth sizing up.

Hi, I need your opinion on my A2 jacket, which I got through a trade.

It seems a size too big to me, unfortunately.

I'm wearing a thick flannel shirt underneath.

I'm 1.80m tall and weigh 84kg. The jacket is a Simmons Bilt A2 in size 44; I think a 42 would be better?
Regards Daniel

A-2 usually fits poorly. I’m not surprised. It’s really hard to find a well-fitted A-2.

For this particular instance, the shoulder is too wide. That’s why there’s a drop in the shoulder seam (diagonal instead of vertical). That would lengthen the sleeves length and make you look funny.

For what it’s worth the fit doesn’t look bad to me and as an A-2 isn’t a warm jacket you might prefer to have some room to layer.
A-2’s can be worn loose or tighter and either isn’t wrong.

A couple of things which are different on your jacket is the two piece back with the seam running across the shoulder blades and also what look to be metal studs or rivets at the top of the back which are presumably holding the internal jacket hanger.
Other than possibly very large size modern Cooper A-2’s I think the majority of A-2’s have a one piece back.

Hi guys,
Quick fit check on this Real Mccoys J-100, its the old fit. Quite happy to not layer with this one and only wearing a t shirt underneath. It's not uncomfortable to wear and now its broken in I have pretty good range of motion.
Im just wondering if the snug fit throws off the proportions. I always waiver from it looking great, to being too narrow looking.
Any input greatly appreciated, and happy new year to everyone

I love it as a t-shirt fit jacket!

One more from me:

I love this jacket. The leather is great, construction is great and the design is super unique. However the fit is very boxy. I get that this is the design which is why I am coming to the forum for advice (as this is not the silhouette I usually go for). Can I pull this off?

I agree that this jacket has a pretty boxy fit on you but think it looks pretty cool. You can pull it off, although IMO it looks a bit too intense to wear with something really tame, like chinos. Jeans that hit higher on your waist would go well with how high the jackets hem hits though!

Thoughts on this Cal? The shoulder and length measurements are spot on, but the seller’s chest measurements were off and front panels are wider than usual on these (maybe made for someone with a bit of a gut) so it seems to sit a bit barrel shaped on me?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding the sizing of my Ironheart N1 Deck Jacket.
I usually wear XL in Ironheart shirts and Western shirts. I’m 1.80 m tall (5’11”) and currently weigh around 84 kg (185 lbs). The jacket I have is size XL.
Under the jacket, I usually wear a undershirt, a T-shirt, and my Ironheart Kersey (14 Odds Western Shirt). I’m wondering if maybe a size L would fit better – the XL fits fine, but I’m not sure how much room I want for layering and movement.

What do you think – would you stick with XL for my build or go down to L?
