Just took two long flights, one to Germany and another to NYC. I use the overhead or even put my hat on its' crown on the floor in front of me. I also put an unfolded handkerchief under it if I put it on the floor. Same trick works for restaurants.

Helmers are good people - they have been oin the hat business for several generations. You'll note the old Stetson hat ads on the wall of the store in Portland - I traded them to Helmers for a great Biltmore straw.
Saddens me to see that wonderful airplane end up that way. Could some anitque ariplance society adopt it? I was at an airshow this satuday in santa Rosa and the local club and adopted a B-26 that was rotting on a farm.

Good question. Among other things, I use to teach and write on this stuff. I used to tell my concealed carry students that if they ever actually used their gun the only person that would be worse off than them would be the guy they shot - expect to be sued and/or indicted.

The Akubra Territory is sandtone. Yes the brim is large, but that is why one buys it. This is a real no nonsense hat. The size of the brim makes me reflect on the whole idea of hat size - ornaments etc, this hat has some romance/legend/image about it. Think of those marvelous...
