I'd guess 50s ... maybe the early side of the decade ... of course just a guess based on style and the tip protector ... I don't suspect it is any later than that

I read that A. Harris in Dallas merged with Sanger Brothers in 1961 ... so it is before that

not sure what Lee calls it

Stetson was Mode
Dobbs was Guild
Knox was Custom
Cavanagh was Cavanagh
Borsalino Daniele told they call it Feltrato in Italy

Thx for the info. I'll try to remember. The Lee name for the felted edge would be a good one for the Q and A. I'll ask there.

I may need some help from you pros. Please redirect this ( admin ) to where you think it should go. I just picked this Barbisio up as my 'one free' in a ' buy two..get one free' moving sale. Its too small for me (55) I wear a 61, but would like to trade for a fedora of comparable quality. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also...having trouble uploading more pics...aaargh !

I'm not sure of the grade. The quality is certainly nice. The weave is tight, with a great back weave on the brim. I'll have to ask Mike. He has a number of these bodies direct from Ecuador.
