I do like it, but if the “cherry” black cherry had been available I’d have opted for it. In most lighting this hat is just black, and that’s fine, but I’d like more of the cherry to come through. I think an oxblood might be in my future.
Outstanding, Steve. Thanks for posting. Looks much better worn than I ever expected. That hat has more stitching than some of my tall top cowboy boots. Summertime, linen or other light weight clothing, that's the hat. What a design.

A warm, sunny and far less smoky day here.
If I'm gonna break the rules by wearing straw in November, might as well break them in style.
Optimo Superfino. Cracked brim doesn't spoil the artistry that went into the weave.
Another funny thing about that brim...you don't notice it much at all if I don't show it in the pics!

My new suede Imperial Stetson from finevintage fedoras. Excelent, fine felt. This one is 7 1/4, but fit well after a day on one of my custom band blocks

Had to decide between the D Bar J fedora and the Baron Hats bowler. Baron won, because of the strong winds. I didn’t want to chase a hat in subzero wind chills. But I have to admit I might have been more excited about the new pants. A rather adventurous acquisition for me.
