You want a copy? It's a medium (36-38) so it should fit right out of the envelope for you. I'm happy to share it with anyone after seeing so many apron patterns with starting bids of over $40 on eBay.

I made this late 30s/40s inspired dress last week from a pattern I drafted. I wanted something that kept the look of the era, but was still modern enough (well, as modern as I tend to dress! lol) for everyday. I spent weeks doing sketches and looking through my folders of images from the era to get ideas. lol It's also slightly inspired by Alice in Wonderland (hence the bright blue color). Casey that dress is adorable! You mentioned that you drafted it yourself. I've stuck to using patterns so far but I'd like to draft in the future. Do you have any books or resources that you recommend? I'd love to be able to draft as well as you do.

Yummykiwi, I was inspired too. But my sewing machine is broken and so I'm handsewing everything for the time being. Sigh! (I can't buy a new one until I find out what this "surprise" that my fiance is getting me is. I have a sneaking suspicion he's bought me a new one...)

I've mostly taught myself using a combination of websites and vintage drafting books that I've found over the years (used bookstores are my friend!

). So I don't have any books per-se that are in print and readily available. Although my library has a couple helpful books, so checking that out is also an option (I've also inter-library-loaned a ton of books!).

You should be very proud of how it came out.
Just as i said, gorgeous.

This has got me into my sewing mood again, just yesterday i got a new sewing machine ( i am spending my Summer back in Spain and i didnt bring any sewing stuff with me!!)

This dress from Evadress, I have been lusting after the pattern since I saw it!

And I really liked the yellow/green combination, although I am not a fan of yellow.

I shirred the gatherings at the top with my shirring foot at the machine, I liked how it looked:

The fabric is a crepe rayon, was white with flowers (center here), and I dyed it green and yellow. The green didn't take evenly, unfortunately

I will be sewing this one again, it is very flattering for pear a shaped body

although these pictures aren't taken from the most flattering angle...
