Hey All,

I just have a question about leather sweatbands in hats. How does one go about cleaning the oils out of the leather? As you know, there are some of us out there who don't do well with a sweatband saturated with oils sitting against our pores if you know what I mean.

Hey man I use a little trick I learned on the forum. (Not for cleaning but preventing)

I went to the store and bought a box of ladies panty liners.
They come in an hour glass shape so I fold it in half and cut one side to match the arc of the other side.

I then put them on the hats sweatband.

They fit great.
Once it is soiled, toss it.

Warning: I have had them pull off a little of the top coat of the leather. Might apply it to your blue jeans first to remove a little of the sticky.

I have these in all my hats.

Dont leave home without it.

You'll have all your friends saying "I need roller skates to keep up with you!"

Thanks BigSleep.

I was also thinking about those little cotten strips I used to put in my goalie helmet back when I played hockey....they were made by a company called ITECH I think...

Anyone else have any other ideas?
