Ha ha, I actually do a few of those, and I fix computers that the Geek Squad screw up......
Let me guess: yarn ball collections and coon huntin’ , right?
LoL!
You are one busy man, Tim.
As much time as you spend on here...how do you do it all??
Sometimes this site takes up most of my day and I get nothing done.
Not complaining, just sayin’

So you fix computers for a living? I’ve often wondered what you did. Nice.

I think that looks great on you Randall. What don’t you like about it ?
Well, Thanks, Tim. But If you saw the hat from the side you’d see way too much taper and a short crown. Two things that, to me, ruin my idea of a good profile.
Now, that said, @Mohawk thirties hat he wore today is a bonified good looker!!

Magnificent Monday, Mates!

Today I donned the Lee Gold label (Lawless looking) lid...
Sun or shade?

A Gold label, ahhhhh! Excellent hat with a terrific edge treatment.

Over the weekend, I went casual with a 1934 Adam Royal cap...

Have a wicked wonderful week!!

Boldly wearing a cap Charlie. You look sharp in a cap. Good to see your posts.

Cheers to you the family and grandkids. Eric -

My missus said: "What a fine looking hat,"
Said, "I'd like one just like that."
But she had to say, "nay,
We're still awaiting our pay,
Make do with what you have, and that's that."

Actually, she has a point, but don't tell her. I looked that Mallory up and found a pre-loved one on E-Bay, asking price $300, and someone else was asking $185 for an original Mallory hatbox. Pre-loved? It didn't look that loved, certainly not three hundred buck's worth.

Nice color Joe, it seems very soft too!

Thanks Panos. It really is. I would say firm and soft at same time. The brim is fairly rigid allowing it to keep a nice sharp shape with its unbound edge while finish is fuzzy soft. While the crown is pretty malleable. It prefers its center dent... though if memory serves when it arrived a few years back it was almost sort of half a Montana peak. Wish I had taken a photo of it that way. I’m not a huge fan of the corded band... but it does seem to suit this hat.

not sure I can learn too much from its hand written manufacturing tag
