What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

70 g is definitely a lightweight hat. I don't have much of a collection to compare the Stetson to. But I've always thought it was lightweight compared to some of the others I've handled. I think I've narrowed it down to having been made between 1906 and 1917.

no sleep last night, lots of pain. They are going to send me to the spine guy now. I was hoping for some relief by the injections, but it was not to be.

Back problems are tough, Mike, mainly because they can be so hard to remedy satisfactorily. I know a few people with chronic back problems, including my wife.

I may have missed it, but has there been a diagnosis as to exactly what is causing your pain? For example, my wife has degenerative disks in the lower back which cause the vertebrae to rub together and pinch nerves which is horrific when it happens. We've already been talking about fusion of the last couple of vertebrae but that is a last ditch choice.

Here's hoping for an outcome that involves no, or less, pain for you.

Love the SA, and your colorful description of the weather Greg. :)

Real nice!!

The hat, that is, not the heat.

I know what you meant. Stay cool, Cuz.

Sheeze Bama, that sounds hotter than the Devil’s B***’s at a Revival.
The SA is cool. At least there’s that!

Thanks, B. It's about that hot.

I noticed you're wearing it in the shade. [emoji16]

Yes, sir. I may not be smart enough to get out of the rain but I know shade is a good thing.

Michael, Great look as usual! I believe Manfred's Rehfus & Cie. Zyphyr was ~ 113 grams with sweatband and liner so without liner ~ 103 grams. The 70 grams printed on the liner was just the felt without sweatband and liner. My Negretti "Adonis" ~ 108 grams without liner.

Rehfus & Cie. "Zyphyr" liner with "70 gramm".

Had to send the wife off on her own to the Oregon Coast, no sleep last night, lots of pain. They are going to send me to the spine guy now. I was hoping for some relief by the injections, but it was not to be. Sorry I have been so AWOL!
I was going to wear my modern Stetson Stratoliner hemp Milan, in sand. Did some rework on the brim with a classic snap. Hope she has a good time visiting family in Florence. I'm going down for a nap now...

Hope you feel better soon, and get some relief. Those colors are so cheery and bright and warm, and look great together between the Milan and the shirt. That should help a little!

Wore the first 25 I acquired today. Been a 25 week so far! I really like these hats. Added a horsehair band on it today to see what kind of comments I might get! (just never mind my ugly mug!)

I like the look of that hat and the way you have creased it and you look good in it. The colors of the horse hair band compliment the hat well, personally I'm just not a fan of the tassels.

Thanks for the kind words sir. The tassels really look better on larger hats, I think. They do make those without tassels, and I was considering getting one. But I already have 4 or 5, so just thought I'd see what it looks like.

Westchester Imperial today. Originally it had a cattlemans crease, I rebashed it to a c-crown and wore it that way for a year but I wasn't digging it and the crown seemed a little low. So, this week I recreased it to a diamond and I think it came out great.

I think the horsehair looks great. I also really like the crease. Very nice.
