I always assumed nutria would make a good hate cause they stay in water and you don’t have to switch to a rain hat if it’s thick enough to stand the weight
Zipper ID help please
Oops, thanks! Not too many hats with zippers. Try this thread:

No fur felt is waterproof. Beaver is more water repellant than rabbit but that is because of its structure........ it felts tighter. The quality and tightness of the felting and the thickness of the finished felt body is what determines the water resistance of a fur felt hat. You are buying a fur felt hat made from the animal fibres that have been felted. You are not buying a beaver, rabbit or coypu full pelt.I always assumed nutria would make a good hate cause they stay in water and you don’t have to switch to a rain hat if it’s thick enough to stand the weight

Hi guys, anyone know when Avirex started making these? M445a, I assumed it was before the 80s before it went top *** crazy, anyway I've never seen one until this week, looks nice enough for Avirex, shame they couldn't have continued with more authentic looking jackets, I won't even go there with the map lined G1 haha I never had one but we all started somewhere back then View attachment 754103 View attachment 754104
Cheers BobYou might ask here (this thread is in the hat sub-forum):

The wrong size is an issue, and they should do better re getting your order right, and with the after service. But as far as hat quality goes, I’m afraid you get what you pay for. A wool Stetson goes for twice that price, and most of us here wouldn’t settle for one of them. If you want a decent hat at a reasonable price, go second hand, read descriptions carefully, and do some research. I’ve been burnt before by failing to read thoroughly enough, and by failing to do enough research.Hi, I don't know where to post this, so I'll post it here.
I recently received an order for two fedoras from ranchrow.com at $59.95 each. What I received was shipped from Shanghai. I had specifically ordered "small" . What I receive was extra large, so big as to be unusable by me. I contacted the company and was told to receive a refund I would have to ship them back at my own expense. What really galls me is that the hats are of such poor quality. They look and feel cheep. I'm only posting this to warn people off of ranchrow.com. If I should have posted this elsewhere, let me know.
