Thanks Randy. When I got this hat it was filthy dirty and had a very short crown with a tight telescope crease. I cleaned it up as best I could, but there is still some damage from the tight crease. All in all I'm very happy with it. I really like that light lemony color of the felt with that rusty gold sort of band. The sweat had been replaced, but it has the embroidered last drop liner.

Thanks sir. This Mallory does have that desirable clay-like felt characteristic. I do have a decade later version of the Dallas and it does not have the same clay like felt quality. This afternoon I was out and about in an un-lined Stetson Playboy. Milk chocolate hued felt just makes me thirsty.

This evening I was enjoying the evening down on the dock in a blue/gray Stetson Playboy. The odd evening light shows the felt to be a purple-blue hue that it is not when viewed in person.
