Herb Kelleher, flamboyant founder of Southwest Airlines, found the Dow Jones ticker symbol he wanted for his new company. Unfortunately, another company owned that ticker. He challenged the other CEO to arm wrestle for the ticker at a public event in the Sportatorium. Herb lost. The other CEO got such great publicity that he gave Herb the ticker anyway. Southwest Airlines has since then been known as the airline of LUV!

O’Farrell #3 of the three recent arrivals. All custom made for the same gentleman. This hat features a silver and gold Navajo story-teller concho hat band (which is what I was bidding on — the hat actually fitting was a lucky coincidence).

It’s a great read under a vintage fedora such as this Melton.
