Scott at FineVintageFedoras on Etsy often has some, but it's sporadic and colors are a crapshoot. I also tried sourcing some cord and bought a Dritz button press but that was a bust because the press was crap.

If you figure it out, let me know.

Yep....Scott is out.....had one that was too short. I was looking at doing the same.......with the same result with that button press.

That is a real beauty. My estimate would be pre war. Late 30s to early 40s.

Not at the moment… but I remember that happening to me a month or so back. I thought.. oh this is going to be a bit much. But then it resolved itself rather quickly.

First, here is the Dalton thread.

The name was sold in 1952, but there are examples of them as late as the 1960s. I think the later ones are Daltons in name only.

Thanks, I did read through that thread already. I found a hat that puzzles me, it is an unlined Dalton with a non-leather sweat but it does have the union tag. Was guessing 60s but didn't have anything to compare it to.
