I'm a big Renaissance Faire nerd, and I was making a frock coat for a Pirate themed faire but was having trouble finding enough matching buttons. So I decided to NOT match, and name my pirate character Misstress Eliza Match, shortened to "Miss Match."

It didn't really catch on as a pirate name, but it sounded nice and vintagey, so I'm using it here!

I can be terribly absent minded with things like this, so I just stuck with my AIM screen name. Given so many of the clever and interesting screen names folks on here have come up with, sometime I regret my decision to make things easy for myself to remember.

With apologies to Spitfire, the Beech Staggerwing is in my opinion to most beautiful airplane ever built. And even better, there are still a few available. I've owned a number of airplanes over the years, but not a Staggerwing. I hope to rectify that by the end of the year. Beyond that, the Staggerwing and other Golden Era aircraft like her (Howard DGA, Sparten Executive, Stinson Reliant) just represent the epitome of form and function to me. Since I was a kid I've been drawn to old airplanes and big radial engines. Like I tried to explain to my wife, I don't want a Staggerwing, I need a Staggerwing. Besides, what else would a guy who likes hats, old cars, good manners, vintage radio, and Sinatra fly?

I am usually a very calm person, except when I start swing dancing. One of the instructors a few years back saw me and how crazy and happy I get when I dance, and he screamed out to the leads, "Watch out for that Bad Mama Jama!"

After that, I discovered the Stevie Wonder song, and that sealed the deal. ;)

Oh good grief! I've been away and now there are so many new people to get acquainted with. Hi everybody! And all the folks I already know - looking good! So, the call name - one guess - from Scotland and have absolutely no imagination, and I think I may have said that before on another thread. :D

Mine's just a favorite song. Mike Ness' The Devil in Miss Jones. And I liked the sound of it. Like how Dorothy Parker called herself Mrs. Parker.

My user name comes from the days of trialing and showing our Weimaraners - it was part of our kennel name. For several years we guided upland game hunts at several clubs in Long Island.
