Hey all!
Just thought I'd pop in and say hi on a warm sunny Saturday. Wearing this green Motsch Fils.

Nah, no opinion, really. Only played once in my life.

Very nice with the brim up. Stefan is an incredible source for European hats.
Indeed he is. Aside from a few Italian hats and an English bowler I didn't have any other European hats in my small collection. Stefan was kind enough to find three for me and a fourth for my son, all different makers. Great source and an even better guy.

Popped into Copenhagen today to check out the January sales. I thought my Samuel Mortlock & Son's Lord's hat deserved an outing.

A thin ribboned lords hat is a rarity by any standard, Steve. Good to see it out and about (well, sort of).

Fairly cold Sunday in the morning, then temperate and sunny. Walk in the Verona center packed with tourists
MarronGuerra apertura R.jpg

Today a little-known brand accompanied me: Guerra 1855, size is 61 cm so a 7 5/8 in US. A little bit roomy
MarronGuerra 7 bis R.jpg

I don't have many examples of this brand in my collection, only a series of medium-haired hats
MarronGuerra 6 bis R.jpg

No paper label with name and color, a glued lining and average in the finishes, but the felt is portentous, finished with heather medium fur
Soft, malleable and with excellent quality color and ribbon, no steam to shape it, only fingers
MarronGuerra 6 prima R.jpg

It is a forty years old Italian hat with proportions modeled on the standard of those days

Have a nice Sunday
Thanks a lot for your likes and appreciation

You mean it's all downhill from here?

Thanks Stefan. I think the refurb went fairly well. I still need to do a little touch up and the liner needs to be put back in.

That Leica is a very nice looking hat.

I'll keep that in mind, Bob. It's been a very dry year here this year. Up until last week I don't think I'd seen a hat in any size that was worth taking home.

Thanks,
Michael
Nah, you just have to look for a higher peak. Thanks for the likes, Michael.
