The actual problem is much more complicated than that. It depends on the persons name. Zebadiah Xray Zachoria has VERY little chance of matching his initials with another person on a sweatband.I say the odds are one in 676 for two initials (26 x 26). For three initials, it would be one in 17,576 (26 x 26 x 26).
So each letter would have to be assigned a value for how often it appears as an initial (Smith, e.g., vs. Zachoria) on a scale. Then the problem could be worked out?
