I also can't add anything constructive other than that it looks absolutely amazing. This is what I want my jacket to both look and fit but then again, I can't seem to wear one for longer than a month so it's something I probably won't ever achieve but yeah, for me, definite goals with means eleven thumps up.

Perfect length all around, IMO.

As for the back, that's exactly how the back looks on my Sears Oakbrook when worn so I guess this is what it ends up like. Which is cool!

The jacket is unbuttoned looks awesome, the jacket is buttoned it looks like you have a huge belly. I understand this is due to the fact that the pockets are full

It's a bit of both

Although the jacket, because it's like a "second skin," does make me look fatter than I actually am

Happily, in the summer, I can usually wear it unzipped!

Impressive how you have worn the jacket in, it looks stellar on you. I agree the jacket would have a more finely tailored look with a little addition to the waist, but with your using the jacket as a utility jacket and carrying gear in the pockets, the finely tailored look is diluted anyway. It's refreshing to see someone actually wearing a leather jacket like they were worn in the 50s daily.

I agree. A lot of us (myself included) take the easy road and buy vintage. Someone already did the heavy lifting on those jackets. It is great to see someone wear a jacket every day. Natural hide is perfect for a quick character development.

This jacket still looks great! including the fit! you"ve earned every crease, stain and any saggy-ness.

"Beware the man who only owns one Jacket"

I noticed that this jacket was made by Greg Field, now that he has branched off on his own it makes this one a bit more interesting.. I hope you saved the hang tag.

I hadnt paid attention to that. Thats a good catch and could prove a nice collectors item on top of being just a freaking fantastic jacket.

I had to read this twice to make sure I was in the right thread, and I still don't understand

How do you know who made it? And why would it be a collectors item? To be honest, I only recall a tag on my Shackleton vest, but I don't recall one on my GFs or my jacket! I'll check amongst my documents, though.

Your picture of the tag has Greg’s name on it. Jacket looks fantastic btw.

I suppose if I ever decide to sell it, as it's a relatively unique build, I might ask Greg to verify/certify that it's his work

Is that something that I should do sooner than later? I suppose it might bump the value for those who are in the know about such things?

It’s for sure his work. He made one of my HB’s. I’d hang onto to the tag regardless. It’s just kind of a cool story if nothing else. Greg is a master of his craft and now that he has his own company, it’s cool to have an Aero with his signature on it.

Looking very nice there. I probalby could have had a similar beard but actually did the opposite and shaved it to enable N-95 mask wearing. That is quite the special jacket indeed now. Truly yours! I would agree, if you plan to wear a backpack often, perhaps a non-action back would be desirable. And weight gains/losses are part of life. Nice work with this one!

@Feliksas.. I wasn't trying to imply that you had hit the lottery by owning a jacket made by Greg, but only point put that to a small number of aficionados ( mostly here of TFL ) that this one jacket might be a little bit special.

Yeah I should jump in and when I said collectors item I meant to the small number of people here haha. Unless he becomes some famous mainstream designer like Vivienne Westwood it won’t really add value. But just something really cool and interesting to crazy collectors and forum members like us. But regardless your jacket looks great. It was great when you first got it, and it’s even better now that you’ve actually worn it. Around here we either move them on before they get much wear, baby them, or have so many that the rotations too big to get good wear on them.

A few thoughts and observations. First, I often wear a backpack, and I think that adds to the creases in the back--they look like hard creases; I love the KotR back, but if one wears a backpack, it's probably not the back to get--a straight smooth back without "flaps" might crease better. Second, I do like to have things in my pockets, and the jacket isn't as handsome with fully loaded, especially inside zip, pockets. Third, definitely need cord or whatever at the base of the liner, it's torn to heck because of my belt and the things that I wear on my belt. Fourth, I like the sleeves as the are, so I can check my watch by stretching my hand--I know that lots of people like to get longer sleeves. Length is pretty good, I'd consider shorter if I were to do a redo. Fifth, the break-in was fine and quick in last summer's heat, but it is a heavy jacket--it still feels like wearing armour, which is fine for 3 seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring), but it's not really a summer jacket

Understood! Anyway, my 6 year old son, just recently declared in such a way that only children can, that he's going to own the jacket "after you're dead, dad," so I guess that settles the matter
